COVE STAR IDENTITY 

My cover star is the well known rap artist , 'grumps'.I decided to se grump as this is suitable for the genre of music i am doing for my magazine.He is well known for his rap so therefore people will straight recognise my magazine as a rap magazine.He also follows the conventions of rap as you can see in this picture he has his hood up pointing to the camera with head phone. Grumpz being the cover star will also draw a lot of people into buying the magazine as he is well known .

Production diary update 6

This week i have completed a several tasks.These include conventions of a front cover , which i created by taking certain things such as a masthead and sell lines etc from different magazines and then i created it into one. I also done conventions of a contents page and double page spread which i also created in the same way i created a front cover.I also compared two different music magazines which were a rock and r&b magazine.Hope you enjoyed the effort i put into the tasks!

Masthead colours

This is the colour scheme i chose for the mast head . The i chose i yellow because this will go well with a black background and it also goes with the other colours.Also it is a bright colour so it stands out.

Here are my masthead designs.I had to choose 10 different fonts which i got from a website called 'dafont' and had to come up with 5 different names.

 

Colour schemes

Hey readers , as you saw might of saw from my previous blog i used a site called callers to crate 10 different colours schemes.I eventually ended up choosing one which is down below . The reasons why i eliminated the other ones is because i felt that they were not too eye catching. They were not bright and didn't stand out so therefore i felt that this would appeal to viewers.The reasons why i went for this colour scheme is because it has a good range of different colours and i have changed the shade for each colour aswell. I felt  this colour scheme was also unique and another very important thing is that the colours go well with each other which in colour scheme they do.I have also tried to keep it fairly simple because this will give the magazine a more serious effect.
