Analysis of two school magazine covers.














This is the front cover from 'what makes a school great'. It consists of a school Bus and kids on it laughing. It has a good layout and the title is big and clear.The picture could also suggest that they are young kinds because they are seen playing and laughing. This shows that the kids have fun at school however, it could also suggest that they do not learn to much as they have fun a lot of the time. 


This school magazine is called 'The mitre'. This school magazine is more professional than the other one.It could also give a good impression to the parents because the picture shows the children that look like they are learning so therefore it shows it is a good school.It also has a good clear layout.It also shows kids smiling which could show that they are enjoying the school and they are also learning .

Blue represents calmness , happiness , intelligence ,  efficiency , productivity but it can also represent sadness and coldness. 

Red represents danger , blood , passion , love , anger , romance . 

yellow represents happiness, sunshine, non-emotional and lacking compassion. 

sweet, kindness, calming, passive and its also got connotations for love and romance.

The colour  orange represents:

excitement, enthusiasm, alarming, warmth and warning.
The colour green represents  healthy, freshness, fertility, tranquility,  and the other connotations are jealousy and envy.

The colour white represents purity, innocence, cold, bland, sterile and empty mindsets or boredom.

The colour black represents elegance, formality , death , evil , mystery , power .

The colour purple represents royalty, wealth, wisdom, mysterious and spirituality.

The colour Brown represents:

natural, isolation, security , reliability , and strength .
